For a long time I wore a bandage or Adidas tennis wristband on my graft site from the radial forearm flap surgery.
Then I experimented with wide bracelets. The site was gory looking for quite some time: maybe a year. Now, I hardly notice the scar. It's obvious but not gruesome looking anymore - just an innocuous pink.
Tubular bandages were good but the tennis bands classier.
